Marguerite H. Payne of Gloucester, died on May 19, 2023.

She was a native of Washington, D.C., and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Gloucester, where she served for many years as the Church Clerk, Trustee, member of the Senior Choir, Gospel Chorus, Sunday School and on several committees.

Survivors include her son, Corey C. Payne; brother, W. Thomas Hall, and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Margaret Atkinson Hall, and siblings, Stan Hall and Mary DePriest.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 27 in Bethel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Music Ministry of Bethel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1486, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
