Margaret Loretta Walker (Jones) was born on July 11, 1963, in Gloucester, Va. She transitioned to her eternal reward with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 5, 2023. A nurse for over 25 years, she took care of countless patients and now it’s time to hang up her stethoscope and rest.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman Jones Sr. and Beulah Hudgins Jones Blake. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jasmine and Manal Mercer; grandbabies, Gabriel (5) and Janelle (1); bonus grandchildren, Sheila (19) and Tristun (12); siblings; Frances, Janice, Sherman, and Earl, and a host of relatives and friends.

Service was as follows: Monday, August 14, 2023, at Union Zion Baptist Church, under the direction of Pastor Dickerson, 6145 Ware Neck Road, Gloucester, Va. 23061. Viewing from noon to 1 p.m. Service began directly after at 1 o’clock.
