Margaret Lee Croswell Hogge, 82, of Hayes, died Dec. 3, 2013 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

 

Margaret was retired from Eastern State Hospital. She was a wonderful and good friend to everyone and treated her friends and neighbors like family. When someone in the neighborhood needed something they would call Margaret. She was also an excellent cook, preparing many favorite foods for her family. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be missed greatly.

 

Her husband, Horace W. Hogge; parents, Herman and Fannie Croswell; great-grandson, Robert Wayne Turner, and sister, Barbara Ann Croswell, preceded her in death.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Tillage and Shelva Hogge; sons, Herman Hogge and wife Teresa, and Richard Hogge and wife Jackie; brothers, Herman R. Croswell and wife Amelia, and Harry M. Croswell and wife Betsy; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. W. Donald Ambrose will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
