Marcelle LeMouroux Pittman, age 80, of Hayes, died on March 12, 2023, at Riverside Regional Medcal Center, Newport News. Marcelle was born in LaRochelle, France, on April 22, 1942, and was a skilled Registered Nurse trained by Roman Catholic nuns in France. She traveled to many countries at a young age during her nursing training. She worked in hospitals, and the Newport News School System prior to retirement and was a Red Cross volunteer at Fort Eustis receiving the commander’s award. Her most recent love was volunteering at the GMHS for the past 15 years. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry Pittman; daughter, Jeanne Newsome; granddaughters, Nichole, Brittany, Christine, Alexis, and Melissa; brother, Clark Pittman (Edith), and best friend, Beth Hogge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. The interment will be private.
