Manning joins Mathews Circuit Court staff

Beth Brown Manning of Bavon has joined the staff of the Mathews County Circuit Court as a deputy clerk. She began work on Aug. 19.
As a deputy clerk, Manning is primarily responsible for scanning, recording, and filing official court documents.
An employee of the Bank of America in Mathews for 11 years, Manning said she had the option of taking a job at another branch when the Mathews branch closed, but she didn’t want to travel out of the county for the job.
Manning is a Mathews native and graduate of Mathews High School. She said she lived elsewhere for 10 years, but returned to Mathews when her daughter Lily was born so she could raise her child here.
“I couldn’t be happier than to find a job in the community,” she said.
