Make a difference for pets in need during National Pet Month

For millions of pets, there’s something special about the month of May. May is National Pet Month, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to help homeless animals in shelters all across America find loving, happy homes. Here are just some of the many ways you can help us celebrate this important time of year.

Adopt: If you are ready to open your heart and home to a pet in need, please consider adopting today. At GMHS, there are many adorable, adoptable dogs, cats, small animals, and birds waiting to meet you right now. Our adoption team would be happy to provide a personalized recommendation for the right pet for you and your family.

Volunteer: We are always in need of transport associates, canine/feline wellness attendants, and front desk volunteers. Our hours are flexible, and each visit makes a huge difference.
