The Gloucester Main Street Association will hold its Main Street Trick or Treat event Monday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. As a result, Main Street in Gloucester will be closed from Justice Drive to Edgehill Shopping Center from 5-8:30 and residents only will be allowed access.
The detour on Martin Street will also be closed during the event and traffic will be turned around at Justice Drive.
Jen Christman, executive director of the GMSA said 25-plus businesses and community organizations are taking part. Participating Main Street restaurants are also offering a 10 percent discount that night to families with children in costume.
Parking will be available behind SunTrust Bank, at Edgehill Shopping Center, and Main Street Center, and at county buildings after 5 p.m.
