Maggie Ellen Millen, age 88, died at her home in Hayes on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023. She was a native of North Carolina and the daughter of the late Jimmy and Etta Boyette. Maggie was a bus driver for Newport News Public Schools and owned her own hair salon, and loved sitting on her porch enjoying the views of their farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Millen; a son, Donald Millen; daughter, Jan Millen; daughter-in-law, Francine Millen; brother, M.B. Boyette, and sister, Thelma Boyette-Carter. She is survived by her sons, Steve Millen, Herman Millen, and Ricky Millen (Brittany); eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for the love, care, and support, and a special thank you to Edith Walters.
