This year’s Made in Mathews Open Studio Tour will showcase the work of 13 local artists in their own working studios over two weekends, starting Friday. It is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
The self-guided tour will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and 25, and Saturday, Dec. 2, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26 and Dec. 3.
Participants will have a chance to visit and interact with accomplished artists and artisans who have a diverse range of skills, backgrounds, and mediums, including fine art, textiles, traditional crafts, furniture, jewelry, home and body products, glass, and sculpture, all authentic and made in Mathews County.
Maps of the tour are available at the Mathews Visitor Center in the old Sibley’s Store on Main Street, where a collection of local art is available for perusal and purchase, as well as at various businesses in Mathews and online in downloadable form at madeinmathews.com/studio-tour-map.
