Lynda Higgins Stalnaker, 76, of Newport News, died on Dec. 25, 2024.
She was born in Spruce Pine, N.C., and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mary Higgins; her siblings, Michael and Chuck Higgins and Revonda “Ronni” Pucci, and her stepson, Michael Stalnaker.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Stan Stalnaker; her daughters, Jennifer Barbrey of Hampton, and Michele Shelton of Newport News; a sister, Jonnie Forrest of Gloucester, and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at Weymouth Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 902 Denbigh Boulevard, Newport News. Inte
