Lyle P. McMurtray, 23, of Dutton, Va., passed away suddenly on May 31, 2014.

He was born in Westminster, Md. He was a kind and generous person who never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife, Carmela Rosell-McMurtray; mother, Brenda Novell Russell; father, Lawrence Patrick McMurtray; sisters, Autumn Coxe and her husband Todd, and Alina Jackson and her husband Chad.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Petsworth Baptist Church by the Rev. Clinton Miller. Burial will be in Petsworth Baptist Church Cemetery.
