Luther Edloe Wooldridge Jr., 72, of Gloucester, died Aug. 13, 2014.

Being a lifelong resident of the area, Luther acquired the friendship and respect of many. From his service during the Vietnam War, to his employment with Newport News Shipbuilding and Lockwood Brothers, Luther left his special bond with countless folks. His multitude of family, extended family and dearest friends will surely miss his earthly presence and wish him a peaceful voyage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irella Lawson and Luther E. Wooldridge Sr., and sister, Ruth W. Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Lynn Wooldridge; brother, Landon M. Wooldridge and wife Sally, and sister, Mary Beth W. Hawks.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
