Louise Teagle Horsley, 95, of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, in Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was born in Gloucester County on May 23, 1919.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Margaret Davis Teagle; her husband, Doswell S. Horsley, to whom she had been married for 67 years; her son, Warren Lee Horsley, and brother, John Lewis Teagle.

Louise graduated from Botetourt High School in 1937. After graduation she worked in the Time Keepers Department at Newport News Shipyard until she married Doswell. She was a lifelong member of Bellamy United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the XYZ Club, the United Methodist Women, and the Botetourt Belles.

Louise was the most loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, and friend.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth W. Horsley and Janice Fay Horsley; her grandsons, Kevin Todd Horsley (Lisa) and Keith Scott Horsley (Amy); her great-grandsons, Zachary, Caleb, and Thomas Horsley, and her step great-grandsons, Josh, Tyler and Travis McClellan, and special nephews.

The family will receive friends at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Bellamy United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kenneth Waclo. Burial will be in Bellamy Church Cemetery.
