Loretta Greene of Hayes, died at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on Oct. 14, 1936 to the late William James and Pearl Jenkins Greene; a member of the 1955 graduating class of Gloucester High School, a member of the Red Hat Society, and a member of Poetry World. Loretta worked as a medical x-ray technician at Newport News Shipbuilding for many years. Sisters, Vivian Oliver and Dorothy Oliver, and brother, William James Greene Jr., preceded her in death. Loretta is survived by her brothers, Robert Lee Greene (Marian) and Harold Wayne Greene, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
