LORETTA CATHERINE LEIGH

Loretta Catherine Leigh, 94, of Yorktown, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.

She was a former resident of Gloucester, before moving to Colonial Harbor in Yorktown, Va.

She was the daughter of the late Edward and Madeline Leopold Moore and was the widow of William Foster “Bill” Leigh Jr.

During the 1960s, she worked in the cafeteria in the Lindenhurst, N.Y., school system. She was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church and the XYZ Club. She was very active in the activities at Colonial Harbor.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Adams of Yorktown; son, William E. Leigh and his wife Denise of West Chester, Pa.; her grandchildren, Summer Rouillard, William C. Leigh, and Valerie Meffert, and her great-grandchildren, Liam and Cullen Meffert and William and Noah Leigh.

The family will receive friends at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with funeral services starting at 12:30 by the Rev. Kenneth Waclo.

Memorial donations may be made to either Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue or to the Building Fund of Bellamy United Methodist Church.
