Like wreaths of fog on a humid morning, the stories of our past weave around the buildings and people of the present: this house is haunted; these Confederate officers taught law to a former slave; there are remnants of fishing camps.
In this “Lore and Legends” section, we try to penetrate the mists of time to bring some of the past back into the present.
