Lonnie D. Byrd III of Gloucester, passed away on December 1, 2023 in Richmond, Virginia, surrounded by his family.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Sandra Byrd; his son, Dan Byrd; his daughters, Lori (Tim) D’Angelo and Leslie Byrd; his stepsons, Jeff Dickson and Chad (Carrie) Dickson; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community.

A memorial service for Lonnie will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church on January 13, 2024 at 2 o’clock. A Celebration of Life will follow at Seaford Yacht Club from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of your choice.
