LOIS FAYE JENKINS

Lois Faye Jenkins, 81, of Port Haywood, went home to be with Jesus early Sunday morning, February 9, 2025. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She fiercely loved her husband, Leonard, who passed away in early 2023. The pair met as teenagers and got married after dating for five years. They moved several times during Leonard’s time in the Army. After a plane crash forced him to retire early, they returned to Mathews, where they raised two sons. Nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren. Whether it was taking them fishing, going to the movies, or teaching them to drive her Malibu, she was always up for the adventure. She loved to crochet and was very creative with crafts. Lois was a devout Christian, who loved sharing God’s love with others. She was an amazing soul who will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent George; mother, Annie George; sister, Patricia Smith, and husband, Leonard Jenkins.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Jenkins and Todd Jenkins (Cassie); grandchildren, Lauren Jenkins (Jimmy), Christian Jenkins, Jordan Jenkins, Matt Jenkins, Savannah Jenkins, Brett Hogge (Olivia, Maisie, Greyson), Kaitlyn Milby; niece, Beth Rivera (Harry), and great-nieces, Kristen Fitchett and Leigh Ann Rivera.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Windsor Gardens Cemetery & Mausoleum, Dutton, Virginia. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, is assisting the family.
