The Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex Republican Committees will hold a fund-raiser from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Lower Middlesex Fire Station, Deltaville.
The “Pork & Politics” event is a seated BBQ dinner featuring talks by seven local and state elected officials and candidates, including Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears, 1st District Congressman Rob Wittman, and Virginia’s U.S. Senate GOP candidate Hung Cao.
Tickets are $35, available online by texting GOP to 804-505-4660. “The members of the joint committees are excited for citizens of its three counties to come out to enjoy delicious BBQ from Scoot’s BBQ in Gloucester, and to have the unique opportunity to interact with these hardworking elected officials in a casual environment over a delicious meal,” a release stated.
Event sponsorships ($100, $250, $500 and $1,000) are also available for purchase.
