Local candidate forums winding up in counties

As people begin heading to the polls, with early voting starting tomorrow, candidate forums are beginning to wind up in the two counties.
In Gloucester
The Piankatank Community League, 11888 Harcum Road, Gloucester, will hold a Meet and Greet with Gloucester Commissioner of the Revenue independent candidate Sarah Narron at 7:15 tonight, Thursday, Sept. 21, at the league building. The PCL board also invited incumbent Republican Jo Anne Harris to take part; however, she declined, citing prior commitments, according to a PCL spokesperson.
In Mathews
The Gwynn’s Island Civic League will host a forum tonight, Thursday, Sept. 21, from 7-9 o’clock for candidates for school board, clerk, commissioner of the revenue, commonwealth’s attorney, and treasurer at the Gwynn’s Island Civic Center. Mathews PATH (People Aging in Their Homes) held a forum from 6-8 Wednesday night at the Cobbs Creek Arts Center, 61 Cobbs Creek Lane, for school board candidates.
