Livestrong at YMCA

Livestrong, a free 12-week program for those surviving and fighting cancer, begins next month at the Middlesex Family YMCA in Hartfield. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning March 11. The free program will focus on building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility, endurance, and balance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. The program “focuses on you—the whole person—not cancer,” the release said. The program is open to those living in Middlesex, Mathews and Gloucester counties. Caregivers and spouses are also eligible for the program. To register or learn more information, contact Livestrong instructor Tracy Battilla at 804-316-9191 or Tracy.Battilla@ymcavp.org.
