Lisa Paige Walthall Sanderlin, 45, of Yorktown, died Dec. 28, 2011 in Kingsport, Tenn.
Lisa grew up in Gloucester and was a member of Gloucester Point Baptist Church.
Lisa was a kind, cheerful young woman, touching the lives of everyone who knew her with her positive outlook, exceptional warmth, contagious smile and quick wit. Lisa loved animals and flowers and did not know a stranger. She will be missed and always loved by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Minnie Rowe and paternal grandmother, Emma D. Walthall; also Doris Mae Rowe Phillips, Morris Phillips, Neal Walthall and Michael Haury.
She is survived by her parents, A. T. and Judy Walthall; brothers, David Walthall, Mark Walthall, Matthew Walthall; sister, Mary Susan Walthall; grandfather, Ashby Walthall; aunts, Nellie Rowe Presson, Agnes Rowe Dunston, Kim Walthall; uncles, Daniel F. Presson, Harry Dunston, Wayne Walthall; nieces, nephews and cousins, Meredith Crigger, Cindy Challoner, Trey Phillips, Chris Dunston, Lee Dunston, Kendall Caton and David Earl Haury.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Dr. Paul Garber, the Rev. Gene Cumbia and the Rev. Dr. Doug Echols were held 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gloucester Point Baptist Church. Interment followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday from 4-5:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
