Loving wife, mother and grandmother, Linda L. Nickerson of Hayes, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.

Linda enjoyed a lifelong career with Xerox Corporation, from which she retired. She enjoyed fishing, watching the leaves change color in the fall, and was a diehard Redskins fan.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Ringer; grandmother, Ola Mae Popkins; brother, Michael Burton, and brother-in- law, George “Chip” Gathercole. Linda is survived by her husband of 41 years, Neil Nickerson, as well as her daughter, Kelly Morris, and granddaughter, Destiny Morris. She is also survived by her brother, Rick Burton and wife Lauren Burton; sister, Bonnie Gathercole; brother, Gregory Burton and wife Laurie Burton, as well as many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
