Li’l Ole Opry’s gospel show to be held Saturday

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will present a night of uplifting gospel music on Saturday at the Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium, beginning at 8 o’clock.
The show will feature the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers, as well as guest stars performing new Christian music along with traditional and southern gospel standards. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Guest stars will include the Opry’s youngest stars, Adam Greve and Hunter Owens, as well as Arthur Riviea of Yorktown, who will offer his renditions of two Elvis Presley gospel songs.
Tickets are $12 for adults; $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Mathews Visitor and Information Center and Beach Bum BBQ in Mathews and Marketplace Antiques on Route 17 in Hayes. Tickets are also available at the door on show night.
