Li’l Ole Opry to showcase best duos, groups in the business

The cast members of Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will kick up their heels on Saturday night for a night of music by some of the best duos and groups in the business.
The show will be held at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium. Doors open at 7 and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s show will feature the house band, Shades of Country, which includes Richard Smith on drums, William Earl Sadler on keyboards, Sam Hogge Jr. on lead guitar, David Shuber on bass guitar, Mike McDevitt on rhythm/lead guitar and Michael Gregg on fiddle, as well as the Opry singers, Lynda Smith, Susan Ripley, Tracy Hill, LeighAnn Abbott, Shane Norris and Ralph Motley. That evening will also include performances by a pair of special guests—Hunter Owens, and newcomer and recent winner of the MHS Talent Show, Hailey Denkinger.
