Li’l Ole Opry to perform ‘Sounds of Summer’

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will pay tribute to the “Sounds of Summer” on Saturday at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 o’clock. 
Opry regulars including William Earl Sadler, Richard Smith, David Shuber, Sam Hogge, Lynda Smith, Jeff Long, Mike Gregg, Phil Johnson, Tracy Hill, Ralph and Steve Motley, Walt Stillman, A.J. McKeen, Farren Winter, Adam Greve, Melody and Harmony Smith will perform a selection of country and beach music from such artists as The Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. They can be purchased in advance at Beach Bum BBQ and the Mathews Visitor and Information Center in Mathews and at Marketplace Antiques in Gloucester. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on show night starting at 7.
