Li’l Ole Opry to pay tribute to The Eagles

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will pay tribute on Saturday to the music of The Eagles and other great “harmony” bands. The concert, which features house band Shades of Country and the Opry regulars, will be held at Mathews High School’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium at 8 p.m.; doors open at 7:30.
Saturday’s show will feature William Earl Sadler, Richard Smith, David Shuber, Sam Hogge, Lynda Smith, Jeff Long, Mike Gregg, Betsy and Susan Ripley, Tracy Hill, Ralph Motley, A.J. McKeen, Farren Winter, Adam Greve and others taking on songs such as “Peaceful, Easy Feeling,” “Take It Easy” and “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles, as well as “One More Day” by Diamond Rio, “Grandpa” by the Judds, “What Might Have Been” by Little Texas, and “Boondocks” by Little Big Town.
