Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will open its 48th season of country music shows this Saturday, April 1, with an “All Star Opry,” featuring the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers.
All shows throughout 2023 will have a new start time of 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 7. The group will again be performing at Mathews High School’s 750-seat Harry M. Ward Auditorium.
Ticket prices remain at $15 for all adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under and can be purchased in advance at the Mathews Visitor Center in Mathews and Marketplace Antiques on Route 17 in Hayes. Tickets are available at the door on show night, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The Opry will welcome 2022 Talent Search first- and second-place winners Faith Kemp and Lynette Glockner, respectively, for the evening’s performance, as well as new band member, Mike McDevitt, on guitar.
