Library now has hybrid meeting capability, thanks to gift

The Gloucester Main Library Community Room is now able to offer hybrid meeting capability thanks to a donation from Chesapeake Bank. The Community Room offers a free meeting space to countless nonprofit and community organizations throughout the county.
The idea was spearheaded by Reggie Rossignol, who is the chairperson of the Gloucester Resource Council and is a community manager for Chesapeake Bank.
“One of the responsibilities of the GRC chair is to coordinate locations for our monthly meetings,” Rossignol said. “It’s been challenging to find a single location that could accommodate a group our size that also had the technology set up for hybrid meetings (in-person and virtual at the same time).”
Before the pandemic, the GRC held all of its meetings in the Community Room. “The library is an ideal location,” she said. “It’s well-known with ample and accessible seating and parking and features a large screen for our presentations.”
