“This is our second cookie contest.”
Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center, is holding its second Yum Yum Cookie Baking Contest, following its success of last year. Nearly 50 bakers across three age groups entered the contest in 2023.
Last year, participants had the option of entering in one of three categories, which were Chocolate Chip, Decorated, and Baker’s Choice.
“Baker’s Choice was by far the most popular category,” said Lisa Thomas, library coordinator.
The library has recently announced its cookie categories for this year, which are Gingerbread and Baker’s Choice.
“This year, you can have an entry in each category,” said Thomas.
The contest will be judged in three age groups, third through fifth grades, sixth through 12th grades, and adults 18 and older.
Registration for the cookie contest begins Dec. 3 and will last through Dec. 11. During this time, bakers will pick up their container and set of rules at the Main library. Bakers must drop off their cookies in ...
