Library cookie contest draws large participation

Gloucester County Public Library’s first-ever Yum Yum Cookie Baking Contest received a big turnout for its three categories: chocolate chip, decorated and baker’s choice. The contest was open to contestants in three divisions, which included third through fifth graders, sixth through 12th graders and adults 18 and older.
The winners were announced at the library’s Holiday Open House Saturday. They are as follows:
—Chocolate chip: first place, Tamme Durant (adult), Samantha Holland (grades six-12) and Chayton Shall (grades three-five); second place, Jes Smith (adult), Elliott Polston (grades six-12) and Fett Kutch (grades three-five); third place, Laura Hughes (adult), Gray Ryan (grades six-12) and Charlotte Hogge (grades three-five);
—Decorated: first place, Cindy Holland (adult), Willow McLean (grades six-12) and Addison Brundage (grades three-five); and
