Lewis Wetzel Stover, age 82, of Gloucester Point, died suddenly on Monday, March 28, 2022. Lewis was born on Jan. 22, 1940 to the late John and Myrtle Stover at home, in Mason County, West Virginia. Lewis was drafted into the Army and spent the next 23 years enlisted. Upon separation, he went on to work and retire from civil service for a combined total of 40 years. In retirement, he often spent his time fishing, hunting turkey, and golfing. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharyl, and son, James Duane (Teresa) Stover. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Hogg Funeral Home from 4-5:30 p.m. Inurnment will be private. In memory of Lewis, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105. Services are under the direction of Hogg Funeral Home and Crematory.
