This letter is to the Mathews Citizens for the Common Good. You are supporting some good people, but you’ve lost me and I suspect others. I made several phone calls and spoken in person with other members of your committee and ask that you all support Melissa Mason and gave you many reasons why. I also promised to support the committee with phone calls and letters to the editor or whatever was needed. I had no idea you were considering team voting.
I’m more than chagrined you’ve chosen not to support Melissa. She has the experience and much needed board education to be an effective board of supervisors’ member. She was the only member that had the moxie to stand up to some of the crazy happenings at past board meetings.
Remember when Melissa first ran for election for the board of supervisors, it was put on Facebook “Why would you vote for Melissa, she only represents 13 percent of this county?” Well, we Republicans, Democrats and independents alike got behind ...
