This letter is directed to the many hard-working Mathews citizens who commute "across the river" and beyond to work. Many employers participate in a united campaign to benefit non-profit charities, and employees are asked to contribute through payroll deductions. I would like to ask you to consider directing your contributions to the Mathews Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1037, Mathews, Va. 23109 or to other qualified local charities.

This can often be accomplished by simply writing the name of the charity on the forms you receive and it may be helpful to include the address as well. Please make the effort to see that all or part of your contribution is returned to Mathews where you can see the results of your giving.
