So, by the time this is in the paper, the “Bring Your Gun to School” rally will have concluded. We are fortunate no incidents of violence occurred. It is important to remember that armed men came onto school property to show their support for School Board member Darren Post. They are alleged to have brought guns, knives, night-vision goggles, and handcuffs. These alleged Boogaloo Boys crossed the river and paid a toll so that one of them could “speak up for [his] friend.” As a result, aside from the lockdown, the citizens of Gloucester now have to pay for additional security to man the metal detectors at School Board meetings. This is not what we should be modeling for our children and Mr. Post deserves to be soundly defeated at the polls this November.
