Letter: Why I’m voting ‘red’

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I have read many letters from area Democrats urging us to vote blue in the coming election. It seems the same people write repeatedly in their eagerness to defeat President Trump. It is time to give some reasons why we should not vote “blue.”
First, I want to say I do not care for any of the candidates on the ballot this year. Trump has a personality that reminds me of General Patton. He is a “Type X” manager that puts up with no foolishness and tends to crack the whip.
President Trump is tough to take. But his no-nonsense policies are going to be what I vote for. I want government to cut back spending, $34 trillion national debt is outrageous and is the cause for the high inflation we are all suffering from today.
The border must be controlled. New residents must be vetted properly like most of our ancestors were. Our schools, hospitals, living facilities and communities have been inundated with expenses of caring for millions of new arrivals when American cit...
