Letter: We must vote in civility

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
The fate of our nation and our personal welfare hang in the balance. In November, the world will know if we are still leading from careful strength or grabbing for self-aggrandizement.
We all were brought up understanding what “ugly talk” was and we knew better than to go there. We must vote in civility, statesmanship and self control. Our Virginia congressmen live these qualities. We should have leaders across the board who exemplify self-control and kindness toward all.
The [former] Republican Lt. Governor from Georgia said it best: “If you vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 you are not a Democrat. You are a patriot.”
