Editor, Gazette-Journal:
We, the people of Gloucester County, are better than this.
Our non-partisan school board members have been threatened, yelled at and followed by “citizens” at meetings. Some of the best and most productive members aren’t running for reelection. They are tired of the abuse.
Teachers have been demonized and probably abused. If we don’t have good people who work solely for the children, then unqualified political operatives will fill the void. Armed right wing extremists show up to support a school board member who has turned the meetings into a circus and obstructed board business. Right wing extremists taunt our sheriff’s department to arrest them while violating the law by occupying T.C. Walker school property carrying weapons of war.
When did civility become the exception, instead of the norm? I will not believe the good people in this county are okay with this dangerous mess.
We must conduct our own protest by voting against Mr. Post and his like-minded comra...
