Ware Episcopal Church hosted its first-ever Farmers’ Market this past Saturday. As a longtime church member, I am pleased and proud to report that the Market was a hit! With 55 vendors committing to the event, approximately 1,800 folks from Gloucester, Mathews, and the surrounding counties purchased farm fresh produce, delectable baked goods, and handmade arts and crafts.
The historic church was open for tours, and a highlight of the day was a one-hour “hymn sing” which drew a crowd inside the church and united everyone through the power of song! Feedback from attendees and vendors alike was positive and enthusiastic!
