I was the elected Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Suffolk for over 40 years and retired in 2022. It is a pleasure to endorse Marie Walls for Mathews Commonwealth’s Attorney. Ms. Walls is currently the Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney in Gloucester County and previously served as my Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney.
Ms. Walls has been prosecuting high level crimes including murders, sexual assaults, robberies, child abuse and neglect, and violent assaults for over 20 years. Marie has the utmost experience and integrity. Marie’s skills in the courtroom and dealing with victims were unmatched in my office. I have personally seen how her knowledge, work ethic, and compassion affect the outcome of her cases.
