It appears that some of us are lost in the role of the citizens in an old story, "The Emperor’s New Clothes." In the story, the Emperor was conned by his tailor into believing that, indeed, he was wearing new clothes when, in fact, he was still in his underwear.
There, the Emperor was parading in the street while the citizens watched in disbelief. But since his power over them was strong, they were afraid to say he was without clothes, with one exception. A small boy who knew we were supposed to wear clothes in public, but had not yet learned to lie, cried out "he has no clothes."
Many of us now fear being scorned or mocked and fail to speak out when organizations, government offices, even some churches promote to the public the acceptance of values which are directly opposed to the values given to all mankind by God.
