Letter: Trust GVFR leadership

“Important: Please Read.”
That was the heading for a full-page letter concerning the Gloucester Fire & Rescue Company. I’m sitting at my desk going over it again—first, I don’t know who Adrianne Joseph is, yet as I re-read several statements in the “ad,” I see where she uses positive statements—the company’s “dedication and sacrifice are beyond commendable.” She says that, “This does not alleviate the necessity of an independent, third-party, expert study.”
Then she writes: “Historically, across the country, the determination of fire station locations and the deployment of emergency services has been a matter of professional judgement and intuition.” But now they need a third-party professional company to make those determinations for them? There are too many contradictory statements in her “ad” to be addressed in one simple reply.
