Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I turned 18 this year. And this will be my first election in which I vote. Years ago, when I would consider that I would be able to vote in 2024, the impact of my vote would of course come to mind. But I could never have possibly predicted the importance of this presidential race. For this state, for this country, and for humankind. For generations yet unborn.
Of course I am not the first, not will I be the last person to say these things. But I absolutely believe in their truth. And I absolutely believe that all of you reading this are kind, good-hearted people. No matter who you are, I wish only the best and brightest for the future. And I believe you want the same.
I understand all of your frustrations with the way things are right now. Believe me, I do. I’m soon to enter college at a time when a higher education is the most expensive it’s been in American history.
