The Mathews County Democratic Committee would like to call on everyone in the 98th Legislative District to thank Harvey Morgan for his service as our Delegate in the Virginia House of Delegates. To honor him, we passed this resolution at our monthly meeting on May 7, 2011:

"The Mathews County Democratic Committee wishes to thank Harvey Morgan for his 32 years of service as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the citizens of Mathews County and the rest of Legislative District 98.

"We also want to thank you for your tireless advocacy on behalf of one of our most precious resources, a clean and sustainable Chesapeake Bay.

"Mathews County has been blessed to have two fine gentlemen represent its people in the Virginia House of Delegates for over 70 years—John Warren Cooke and then you, Harvey Morgan.
