On Father’s Day, we honor and thank those men who have committed themselves to the awesome and often difficult task of helping to raise good, righteous children. However, we should realize that being a father in the United States is not a right, but a choice for the mother.
When the Supreme Court issued the Roe v. Wade decision, it gave the mother complete authority to continue the pregnancy and give birth or have an abortion and end the pregnancy. She doesn’t even need the knowledge or consent of the father to make that decision.
Any man who has children born after Roe v. Wade and is proud of being a father should thank the mother(s) for giving him that opportunity. Likewise, anyone born after Roe should thank his or her mother for being pro-life and choosing life instead of abortion.
