I would like to thank those who attended with their four-legged friends, donors, vendors and sponsors for making our first Gone To The Dogs event successful. Next-Home Coast to Country Real Estate organized the fundraising event to benefit Canine Companions, the NextHome Corporate’s charity of choice and our way to celebrate Luke Day (our mascot’s birthday) on June 15.
Canine Companions (www.canine.org) is a non-profit organization which provides highly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Canine Companion puppies are raised by volunteers until they are about 16 months old. Professional trainers continue the training until the puppy is matched with a human partner at about 2 years of age. Throughout the lifetime of the Service Dog, Canine Companions continues to support and provide additional training when needed. All of this is done at no cost to the recipient.
