On behalf of the Fairfield Foundation Board of Directors, we thank all the sponsors and supporters of our Annual Historic House Party, held at the Rosewell Ruins on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Funds raised from this event will support hands-on archaeology and historic preservation on Virginia’s Middle Peninsula and surrounding areas, including preservation of the Rosewell Ruins. They also help us continue our successful educational outreach there and at Fairfield Archaeology Park, Walter Reed Birthplace, Timberneck House at Machicomoco State Park, our headquarters at the Center for Archaeology, Preservation and Education (CAPE), and elsewhere on the Middle Peninsula. Over 10,000 people were served in 2023 by our school programs, summer camps, historic property tours, presentations to community groups, senior living programs, higher learning institution partnerships, internships, and fellowships.
