Re: “Something in the air” (Readers Write, Sept. 19). There is, indeed, something in the air, and it is a scent I first encountered during my nearly 6 ½ years as a P.O.W. in the Communist prisons of Hanoi, NVN. It is the nearly palpable smell of socialism/communism, and it is dangerous to our Republic and to our American way of life. Please don’t encourage it to become the new American way of life!
