Letter: Shame

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
Shame, shame, shame. In my over 90 years, I have never been more ashamed of my country.
President Trump proved, once again, that he is nothing more than a rude, crude, ignorant bully. His performance in the Oval Office meeting with President Zelenskyy was disgusting, a made-for-TV reality show designed specifically to denigrate and embarrass the visiting head of a war-torn country. I believe that it will live in infamy as a low point in American diplomacy.
Since taking office in January, Trump has done his best to change this country into something much less than it was. From being viewed by the world as a helpful, generous bastion of democracy, we are now seen as a selfish, self-centered country ruled by a wanna-be dictator.
