In recent weeks, there have been several letters denigrating Congressman Wittman’s service to his constituents and our country, in this politically charged time. So, let’s set the record straight.
Rob Wittman well represents the people of Virginia District One. However, his true importance, and why he needs to be reelected, is his position as vice chair of the especially important House Armed Services Committee. Additionally, he serves as chair of the Tactical Air and Land subcommittee and is also a member of the Sea Power and Projection Forces subcommittee.
These assignments will not go to a junior member of Congress if he is not reelected. The committees Wittman serves on are extremely important right now, with China’s aggressive military actions in the Pacific, especially towards Taiwan, whom we are committed to defend, and in the waters off Vietnam and the Philippines.
